Record a current tenant and lease
Add a lease signed before you joined Holuway, so the tenant can pay rent online. Nobody signs again.
Add the tenant
- Step 1Open the property from Properties and find Current tenants.
- Step 2Select Add a current tenant.
- Step 3Choose the Home and enter the tenant's name and Email, the dates the lease started and ends, the Monthly rent ($), the Deposit held ($), the day rent is due, and any Balance owed today ($).
- Step 4Keep Email them how to pay rent online ticked if you want them told now.
- Step 5Select Record lease.
Months already lived are never charged. A balance owed today becomes one charge, due today.
What happens next
If the email is new to Holuway, the lease is active straight away. The email tells the tenant how to set a password, see the lease and pay rent online.
If the email already has a Holuway account, the lease waits until the tenant accepts it, and nothing is charged until then. From Leases you can Send the request again or Withdraw it.
